1.5 billion users will soon notice a change to the popular Android and iOS app when WhatsApp introduce Ads and monetize their platform. I think there are going to be mixed thoughts about this one!
In just 10 years, WhatsApp has become one of if not the most used applications of all time. Purchased in 2014 by Facebook for circa 20 billion dollars, it was the largest acquisition of its kind at the time.
Now Facebook plan to bring advertisements to the platform, just like they have with Facebook. Will this change how people use this platform forever? I am really interested to see how this works out.
